The Warmonger is a dual boost pedal that takes inspiration from two classic and infamous boost pedals:  The TC Electronics Integrated Preamplifier and the Ibanez/Maxon Tubescreamer.

The top channel is based on the TC Electronics Integrated Preamplifier.  Using a standard boss-style 9V power supply, the internal circuitry boosts the voltage to 33V to give incredible headroom and boost levels.  The treble and bass controls are an active Baxandall tone stack and we used half of a standard TL072 dual opamp instead of the traditional TL071 single channel opamp for the audio portion of the pedal and then used the other half of the TL072 as a low impedance buffer for the bias voltages.  This means a constant bias voltage to audio signal that won't change if there is a heavy load on the circuit.   We also used modern equivalents of the original transistors as well as modern SMD resistors and capacitors.

The bottom channel is based on the transitional TS-9/808 Tube Screamer.  Again, we took the classic tubescreamer circuit and updated it.  We added the option to switch between silicon and LED clipping diodes and again used modern SMD equivalents of all of the classic components and tweaked .

The Warmonger is a true bypass pedal and there are indicator LEDs to show which of the two halves are active.

Each pedal uses a professionally assembled PCB and is proudly assembled by hand in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
