The Super 72 Plus is the evolution of the Super 72!  based on the of the vintage 1972 Peavey F800B Super Festival amplifier made famous by Jesse from Death From Above 1979.

The pedal uses a standard boss-style 9V power supply. There is internal circuitry to generate 33V power to the transistors. This gives incredible dynamic range and punch to your tone.

Controls include: Distortion, Volume, Master, Treble, Middle, and Bass.  The Treble/Middle/Bass controls are an active boost/cut EQ as on the original amp.  The Distortion controls the amount of distortion.  The volume control adjusts the signal level going into the tone stack.  During the design of the pedal, we noticed that changing the post control to make the pedal output higher also resulted in a change in the tone and character of the distortion, so we added a Master volume control to help keep the tone you like with the post control but be able adjust the output volume.

We took the 3-position slope switch form the original amp (Flat/100Hz/150Hz) and got rid of the 150Hz roll off since it cut too much bass to be useful.

What we added to the Plus:

 

1 - Full 6-band graphic EQ with center frequencies at 100, 300, 600, 1200, 2500, and 5000 Hz to really allow you to sculpt your tone.   Each pot has a center detent to let you know where "0" is"

2 - We added a distortion "Harmonics" toggle switch.   This adds clipping diodes into the circuit to give more tonal variations.

​

3 - 1/4" TRS balanced line out.  We've had so many requests to add this to the original SF72 but there was just no physical room inside the pedal for it.

Each pedal uses a professionally assembled PCB and is proudly assembled by hand in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Each pedal comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labour. Note that the warranty does not cover damage due to using an improper power supply or other misuse.
