The EQ4H Professional is a 4-band parametric EQ that is an modern replica of the the vintage Furman PQ4 parametric EQ/preamp.  It has "minus infinity" to +20 dB of cut/boost, sweepable frequency, and adjustable Q (bandwidth) per band and a maximum 86dB output in the midrange.

After we successfully recreated the original Furman PQ3, we set our sights on the PQ3's big brother:  the Furman PQ4.

The EQ4H Professional is a modern re-creation of the original PQ4 4-band parametric EQ in a pedal.  We also added some of the extra features that the original had:  the signal overload circuit, which lets you know when your signal is starting to clip, a Hi/Lo gain switch to help accommodate different situations and instruments, and an EQ bypass switch which lets you only use the pre-amp section of the EQ4H Professional and bypass the the EQ portion.

We beefed up the power supply section of the pedal while still using a standard boss-style 9V power supply (2.1mm, center negative) with a minimum 150mA current.  There is also power protection on board in case you accidentally plug in a DC supply greater than 9V, or you loan it to a friend who accidentally uses a 9V AC power supply to try and power it.  Even with all of this extra protection, using a power supply greater than 9V may void your warranty.

Controls for each band include Cut/Boost (+20dB), sweepable frequency, and adjustable Q (Bandwidth).

The low band frequency range is 20-400Hz.

The low-mid band frequency range is 75-1,500 Hz.

The high-mid band frequency range is 250-5,000 Hz.

The high band frequency range is 1.2 - 20.0 kHz.

The low and high bands also have switchable peak or shelf filter modes for added flexibility

The Volume control is a pre-EQ boost.  The maximum amount of boost available with the volume and EQ section is over 100dB!!

The EQ4H Professional works amazing in front of your amp as a boost to hit the front end of your amp HARD and get rid of any unwanted mud or other trouble frequencies, or in the FX Loop after your gain stages to sculpt and refine your sound.

Each pedal uses a professionally assembled state of the art PCB and is proudly assembled and tested, one at a time, by hand in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
